The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care and outside school hours care services in Australia. The National Quality Standards:
are informed by research about best practice
are designed to encourage ongoing quality improvement
includes assessment and rating of services in seven key quality areas, including the education program, health and safety, physical environment, staffing, relationships with children, families and communities, and the management of the service.
Services are assessed and rated by their regulatory authority against the NQS, and given a rating for each of the 7 quality areas and an overall rating based on these results. Carina Heights Child Care and Development is proud to be rated "Exceeding" the national Quality Standards. It means that the regulatory authority recognises that our service goes beyond the requirements of the National Quality Standards in at least four of the seven quality areas. As the most highly rated service in our area we are privileged to offer the children and families of Carina Heights Child Care and Development the opportunity to enjoy access to a premium experience.
